This is the day that the
Lord has made;

let us Rejoice
and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24

Welcome

Mayesville Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Associate Reformed Synod. As such, we are theologically reformed in what we believe and teach. We believe the Bible to be God’s Word, infallible and inerrant in all that it teaches. We are a confessional church in that we believe that the Westminster Confession of Faith, together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, accurately summarize the teaching of Scripture and the theological foundations upon which we stand. Our church is Presbyterian in government and Calvinistic in doctrine.

We hope that our website is a helpful introduction to our congregation and denomination. We invite you to visit us on Sunday morning for worship, or for one of our special offerings scheduled throughout the year. Our earnest prayer for you, whether you are discovering us for the first time or you are a regular visitor to our website, is that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of your life and that you may grow in grace and in the knowledge of Him.

The Reverend Brian C. Peake

Pastor

Rejoicings Series: NC Brass Band Quintet - March 15, 4:00 p.m.

The concert is free; donations are appreciated.  To learn more, see the Rejoicings Series page on this website.  Click here for driving directions.

Classical, jazz, hymns, and pop music are on the program for this highly anticipated concert.  The North Carolina Brass Band Quintet is a collection of many of the finest brass players in the central North Carolina region and beyond. All are members of the world-renowned North Carolina Brass Band. Established in 2014, the NCBB is one of only a small handful of professional brass bands in the United States. Under the leadership of its music director and founder, Brian Meixner, the NCBB is a 28-member British-style brass band that provides concert-goers with a great variety of musical styles, including jazz, pop, patriotic, hymns, spirituals, and transcriptions of orchestral music. The NCBB Quintet members include several of the principal players in the band. The Quintet concert experience is designed to be similar to that of the full band, including the full range of repertoire, artistry, and high energy performances associated with the NCBB band. The Quintet performs frequently throughout the region, representing the NCBB with its world-class brass playing, entertainment, and musicianship.  Learn more about the NCBB at www.ncbrassband.org.

Worshipping with Us

The Service

Just as we embrace traditional teachings in our theology, so do we engage in traditional worship. Choir and organ lead worshippers in hymns that have taught and inspired the faithful through the ages. These are interspersed with newer hymns that have won a place in the Church's hymnody because of the strength and integrity of their texts, and the power of the melodies with which they have been paired.

As one family in the Lord, we lift our voices in praise and thanksgiving, profess our belief through the Apostles' Creed, join in intercessory prayer, and hear the Word of God preached and applied to our daily living.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper once per quarter within the context of our regular Sunday morning service, as well as during the Maundy Thursday service.

Amenities

We have a caring and well-staffed nursery for infants and young children.

The church building is equipped with an inductive loop hearing system.  Access requires only that one's hearing aid be set on "T-coil."
