This is the day that the
Lord has made;
let us Rejoice
and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
Welcome
Mayesville Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Associate Reformed Synod. As such, we are theologically reformed in what we believe and teach. We believe the Bible to be God’s Word, infallible and inerrant in all that it teaches. We are a confessional church in that we believe that the Westminster Confession of Faith, together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, accurately summarize the teaching of Scripture and the theological foundations upon which we stand. Our church is Presbyterian in government and Calvinistic in doctrine.
We hope that our website is a helpful introduction to our congregation and denomination. We invite you to visit us on Sunday morning for worship, or for one of our special offerings scheduled throughout the year. Our earnest prayer for you, whether you are discovering us for the first time or you are a regular visitor to our website, is that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of your life and that you may grow in grace and in the knowledge of Him.

Festival of Hymns & Stained Glass
Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
~ Prelude Music Begins at 3:45 ~
- Take a seated tour of the church’s stained glass windows, singing traditional hymns inspired by the windows’ stories.
- Join in rousing congregational hymn-singing with choir, organ, trumpet duo, violin, and piano.
- Hymns include such traditional favorites as All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name; O Zion, Haste; Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus; And Can It Be that I Should Gain; How Firm a Foundation; and This is My Father’s World.
The windows of Mayesville Presbyterian Church were created and installed by Willet Stained Glass Studios of Philadelphia in 1977. This same studio created some of the windows that grace the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, the Church Center for the United Nations in New York City, Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, and the National Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC, among other prestigious locations.
The windows of our church in Mayesville, SC, are characterized by bold colors, detailed storytelling, and the exquisite craftsmanship that comes from the company’s 127-year-old legacy of stained glass design and restoration.
The hymn festival is part of the Mayesville Presbyterian Church Rejoicings Series.

Worshipping with Us
The Service
Just as we embrace traditional teachings in our theology, so do we engage in traditional worship. Choir and organ lead worshippers in hymns that have taught and inspired the faithful through the ages. These are interspersed with newer hymns that have won a place in the Church's hymnody because of the strength and integrity of their texts, and the power of the melodies with which they have been paired.
As one family in the Lord, we lift our voices in praise and thanksgiving, profess our belief through the Apostles' Creed, join in intercessory prayer, and hear the Word of God preached and applied to our daily living.
We celebrate the Lord's Supper once per quarter within the context of our regular Sunday morning service, as well as during the Maundy Thursday service.
Amenities
We have a caring and well-staffed nursery for infants and children through kindergarten age.
The church building is equipped with an inductive loop hearing system. Access requires only that one's hearing aid be set on "T-coil."
